Jack Brown joined Westmoreland Community Action in 2000 as Housing Development Coordinator and more recently as Director of Community Services. During his tenure, he has led the development of two large-scale, high-impact neighborhood revitalization programs and has been responsible for the acquisition, demolition or renovation for re-construction of 52 homes in 11 different cities and communities throughout Westmoreland County. Additionally, he is responsible for the direct maintenance and capital improvement project oversight for over 150,000 sq. feet of agency owned facilities in Westmoreland County.

Jack’s construction experience coupled with his knowledge of state and federal funding enabled him to forge partnerships among government leaders at the City, County, State and Federal level as well as to leverage public and private financial support for two high profile projects. The City of Jeannette South 6th Street Revitalization Project involved the demolition of 46 housing units and new construction of 25 single-family for sale affordable houses at a cost of nearly 6 million dollars. With the City of Monessen Knox and Reed Avenue revitalization program he developed 18 new single-family affordable homes for first time home buyers.

Jack was selected by the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce to participate in Leadership Westmoreland, a 9 month tuition-based leadership development program.
